Angel has fallen star, Gerard Butler has starred in a new disaster/action movie – Greenland, and STXFilms has set July 31 as its first theatrical release date, Brainnews report.
The movie – Greenland is all about a comet on a direct trajectory with Earth and stars Gerard Butler.
Greenland among other movies is set to be release in the summer as it awaits the reopening of movie theaters across the country.
Previously, Greenland was set to be released on June 19, but due COVID-19 pandemic, it was shifted. The movie is directed by Ric Roman Waugh.
Gerard Butler has a great records on action and disaster movies, he has starred in the Fallen movie trilogy as Mike Banning and was able to save the United States President following series of politically motivated attacks.
Greenland will see Butler reuniting with director – Waugh who was the director and screenwriter for Angel Has Fallen, as well as David Buckley who provided music for both movies.
In Greenland, Butler will star as John Garrity, his estranged wife Morena Baccarin as Allison and their son Roger Dale Floyd as Nathan.
Others to co-star in the movie with Butler and Morena include; Gary Weeks, Scott Glenn, David Denman and Andrew Bachelor.
Greenland will unveil the role of the Garrity family as a cataclysmic comet makes its way towards Earth, the fragments will then level cities around the globe.
Their only hope would be the Greenland as they will experience the best and the worst in terms of humanity as they take their journey to this land.
Garrity family’s target would be on a group of bunkers located in the Greenland.
