A new season for Big Brother Naija, popularly called BBNaija kicked-started on Sunday, July 19, 2020 where 20 contestants are contesting for a N65 million prize.

As usual, 20 persons are competing, it comprises of 10 males and 10 females.

This year’s edition which happens to be the season five (5) is tagged “Naija Lockdown.”

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) is a reality TV show which airs on GoTV and DSTV live for three months (90 days).

In 2019, the prize money for the winner, Mercy was N45 million, and this year the organizers announced that it has increase it to N85 Million, Brainnews believe it might be associated with the current situation in the world or to make it more juicy.

Last year, the organizers generated billions of Naira from the show. Their means of income generation comes from TV advertisements, SMS voting, donations from some firms and sponsorships.
