Barcelona Re-elect Messi As Its Captain

Barcelona players have voted Lionel Messi back as its caption. This comes after Messi’s planned exit from the club failed.

Leo Messi will continue as the captain of Barcelona after being voted as such by his teammates.

Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto have been elected the other three skippers of the team.

According to Marca, Messi will wear the armband at some point during Saturday’s friendly against Gimnastic de Tarragona.

Messi is still short of fitness having joined pre-season training later than most of his teammates, so his cameo isn’t expected to be long.
