Gunmen Abduct 25 Youths Returning From A Wedding Ceremony

Youths numbering 25 were on Wednesday, January 27, abducted by unknown gunmen along Wukari-Takum road, Brainnews report.

The incident occurred around 6pm and it was learnt that the victims were on their way back to Takum from Wukari where they attended a marriage ceremony.

The youths were reportedly travelling in a commercial bus and ran into a roadblock which was setup by the gunmen at a spot between Kofan Amadu and Chanchangi.

Spokesperson of Taraba Police command, DSP David Misal confirmed the incident and also disclosed that investigation has commenced.

“We confirmed that they are missing but not established either kidnapped or otherwise.

“Investigation has commenced,” Misal said.
