Weeks ago, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) through the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) had directed that all Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards in Nigeria be linked to National Identification Number (NIN). This directive affected all telecommunication companies in Nigeria.
With this directive, telecom outlets came up with their respective process on linking subscribers SIM.
The deadline set for the linking or registration is on February 9, 2021. But, Brainnews fears millions of SIMs will be blocked due to closed timing.
Below are simple steps on how to link your SIM;
To link your NIN to your MTN SIMs simply; dial *785# or text your NIN to 785. You can as well visit https://nin.mtnonline.com/
Follow this simple STEPS to link your NIN to your 9mobile SIM; Dial *200*8# or visit www.9mobile.com.ng/nin
To link your Airtel SIM to NIN follow this steps; Dial *121*1# or *121# or visit https://www.airtel.com.ng/nin/
Follow this simple steps to link your Glo SIM with NIN; dial *109*yourNIN# or text your NIN to 109. You can as well visit https://www.gloworld.com/ng/nin/
