A University of Calabar, UNICAL student has broken a 44 years record as she emerged first class graduate from Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Brainnews report.
This was announced at the UNICAL 34th convocation ceremony held on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

The First Class Student, Colette Offiong emerged as the only first class student from Linguistics and Nigerian Languages department in the 2018/2019 Academic session. According to source, she is the first ever in the history of the Faculty dated back to 1977.
