BREAKING: Tragedy As Man Kills A 45-yr-old Bricklayer Over N20K Dept He Owes His Mother

A man identified as Michael Sunday has allegedly murdered a young man of 45 years Avonse Abraham over a financial dept of 20,000 Naira in Ogun State.

Reports that were gathered by BRAINNEWSPAPER correspondent had it that, Abraham was returning from his workplace on Saturday when he was stopped around the Faith Chapel junction area of Alli Isiba Street by Sunday whom he owes, it was there that the victim was severely stabbed with a broken bottle by the money monger. Brainnews also gathered that the deceased was a father to 3, in the course of investigation it was realized that the deceased owed the thsuspect’sts mother a total sum of N50,000 of which he tried his best to clear the dept and it came down to N20,000.

An eyewitness report gathered from one of the residents of the area, Wale read that “The deceased owed the mother of his killer N50,000 and had paid N30,000 out of it when Sunday hit him with a plank for refusing to settle the balance. Sunday was sitting on a fence with a friend called Asa when he sighted the victim on Saturday night and violently stopped him while he was holding on his hand a bottle. He refused and insisted that he pays the balance. People came and solicited for Abraham but all plea to Sunday was in vain as he insisted he pays up.

Upon realizing that the victim had no means of paying him, he broke the bottle and stabbed him on his hand. Abraham tried to escape but he grabbed him and stabbed him harder on his back. As residents came out to help, he threatened death upon anyone who nears Abraham which scared all of them away.

After the tragedy, the victim was taken to 4 hospitals in the state but was rejected for admission, finally, he was to General hospital at Onipanu where he died.

Currently, the suspect and his mother are being detained at the Sango Divisional Police Station. All efforts to meet the Public Relations Officer of the police, Abimbola Oyeyemi proved abortive.
