Nnamdi Kanu

Its no longer news that the leader of the indigenous people of biafra Maazi Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested or reminded by the federal Government of Nigeria.

Debating on how he was arrested, investigations had it that he was arrested by the Kenyan government and handed over to the DSS of Nigeria.

On Friday, Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said Kanu was abducted by Kenya’s special police force and held for eight days before being turned over to Nigerian authorities.

“He was tortured and subjected to all forms of inhuman treatment which worsened his health condition,” Ejiofor said in a statement.

Wilfred Machage, Kenya’s high commissioner to Nigeria, emphatically denied his country’s involvement in Kanu’s arrest. In a statement posted on Twitter, he called any such charge “fictional, imaginary and deliberately concocted to fuel antagonistic feelings among certain sections of the Nigerian people.”

According to IPOB Parliament, they’ve sworn to deal with the government of Kenya once the struggle for the actualization of Biafra is over.

The group warned that they are going to deal with all who collaborated with the government to illegally detain and keep Maazi Nnamdi Kanu in the custody of the DSS.
