Woman Killed During Yoruba Nation Rally Ready For Burial (Photo)
A woman killed during Yoruba Nation rally is set for burial on Friday.
The 25-year-old saleslady Jumoke Oyeleke, who was found dead after police fired shots to disperse a Yoruba Nation rally on July 3 will be buried on Friday, The Nation has learnt.
Police denied responsibility for her death, saying its officers did not fire a live bullet at the rally.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu ordered investigation into the woman’s death.
According to The Nation, at the inaugural sitting of the coronary inquest, which began on August 2, Jumoke’s mother and boss were present as witnesses.
The sitting was adjourned till September 6.
