Nigerian star Victor Osimhen looks a lot like Ivorian legend Didier Drogba according to legendary Italian striker Giuseppe Signori.

This comes after Osimhen grabbed two goals to help his Italian club SSC Napoli hold English side Leicester City to a 2-2 draw in the UEFA Europa League game on Thursday.

Signori, who is one of the top ten scorers in Italian Serie A history, stated that Osimhen has the same predatory instincts as Drogba in the final third.

“They look a lot like each other physically and technically,” Signori told Brainnewspaper.

“He is good, he has everything: technique, strength, elevation, speed, and power.

“He’s a player who is still young and has room for improvement, and I think he showed a part of what he can do [against Leicester City].”

Known for his composure and finishing, Osimhen is widely regarded as one of the most promising and most in-demand African footballers.

The former Nigeria under-17 and under-20 star joined Napoli from French side OSC Lillie for a club-record fee of €70 million potentially rising to €80 million with add-ons in July last year.

This made the Lagos-born player the most expensive African transfer to date and he has since scored 12 goals in 33 competitive matches for Napoli.
