SAD! Body Of Man With His Hands Tied Recovered From River In Ilorin

A body of man with his hands tied has been recovered from a river in Ilorin.

The body of a yet to be identified man has been recovered from Asa River, along Emir’s Road in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Spokesman of the State Fire Service, Hakeem Hassan Adekunle, in a statement on Monday, said the body was found with the two hands tied on his back and head covered by some tattered wrapper.

The corpse, according to Adekunle, was brought out of the river at about 3.20pm on Monday, November 15.

“Our officers were able to remove the body from the river and later handed it over to one Superintendent Ajape of Nigeria Police Force, Kwara State Command,” he stated.

“The shocking aspect of the incident was that the deceased’s hands were tied together and his head too was covered by some tattered wrappers. Presently, no concrete evidence has been found as regards the cause of this terrible incident,” he added.

Meanwhile, Director of the Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, expressed sadness on the development and advised members of the public to be vigilant as they go about their day-to-day activities.
