Ifu Ennada has said that men and women who lie about their marital status should be punished.
Reality TV star, Iheme Faith Uloma, better known as Ifu Ennada, has called for the criminalisation of men and women who wilfully deceive ladies about their marital status.
The former BBNaija “Double Wahala” season 3 housemate also said that such men should be duly punished by the law.
According to her, such an act is capable of destablising the mental state of victims.
She added that the victims should also be compensated financially.
“Men who lie about their marital status to date and deceive a girl should be considered as criminals and punished by the law,” she wrote.
“Their victims should be financially compensated for their troubles and destabilised mental health.”
Ennada believes persons who indulge in such act, regardless of the gender, should be tagged criminals and punished appropriately.
“Whether male or female, lying about your marital status should be considered a criminal offense with befitting punishment.”
