Gov Udom Chooses Successor Ahead Of 2023 Governorship Election
Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom has chosen his successor ahead of 2023 governorship election.

The coast is now clear for the 2023 governorship election in Akwa Ibom State as Governor Udom Emmanuel, stakeholders adopt Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Umo Eno as most preferred one.
At the meeting which took place at the Governor’s Lodge, Governor Emmanuel announced, Pastor Eno, as his choice.
Former Governor, Obong Victor Attah presented Pastor Eno to the Stakeholders who pledged to work towards his emergence as Governor in the next year’s election.
Responding, Pastor Eno said he was grateful to God and to Governor Emmanuel for finding him worthy of the onerous task to continue the people-focused and developmental strides of the present administration.
Bishop Uma Ukpai and the Prelate Emeritus of Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Mbang prayed for the electoral victory of Pastor Uno Eno, a prayer was echoed by the Oku Ibom Ibibio and Chairman, State Council of Chiefs, Ntenyin Solomon Etuk.
Among those who attended the meeting, were the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Aniekan Bassey, Senators Akon Eyakenyi, Effiong Bob, Ibok Essien, Aloysius Etok, former Deputy Governor, Etim Okpoyo, Member, representing Etinan Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Onofiok Luke and PDP Chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan
Others were Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, the National Coordinator of the Maintain Peace Movement, Mr. Pat Ifon, Member representing Eket Federal Constituency at the National Assembly and Member, PDP BOT, Chief Nduese Essien, former Minister of Housing, Ambassador Assam Assam, Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Russia, as well as Fathers of Faith.
