Videos From The Ghastly Accident At Calabar Biker’s Carnival

In the late hours of Tuesday, 27 December many people were reported dead, among others who were unconscious after a car drove into a crowd during the Calabar Biker’s carnival parade, Brainnews can confirm.

Atleast 20 people has lost their lives on Tuesday at Bogobiri, along Mary Slessor Avenue in Calabar Municipality, Cross River State after a Toyota Camry salon car drove into a crowd of people.

The deceased were spectators at the 2022 Calabar Biker’s carnival organised by Governor Ben Ayade.

It was reported that the driver of the car took to safety immediately he discovered that there was a casualty.

According to an eyewitness, George Offiong who spoke to Brainnews said; “About twenty bodies has been evacuated, seven were unconscious following the sad incident at Bogobiri, blood has spilled everywhere as Calabar mourns.”

Graphic videos circulating on social media shows an ambulance evacuating mutilated bodies from the scene.

Governor Ben Ayade has reacted to the incident through his media aide, Barrister Christian Ita who revealed that he was saddened over the incident, announced a cancellation of the Biker’s carnival till further notice.

At the time of filing this report the driver is yet to be apprehended.
